Victors Internship program - Communications, PR, and Social Media Intern
Internship description
As a communications, social media, and PR intern, I had the opportunity to learn how to use social media to do live reporting, create graphics on Photoshop, improve my writing skills and more. As an intern, I was assigned to work specifically with track and field but overall had the opportunity to work with many other sports including football, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and gymnastics. Working with different sports and people has allowed me to adapt and learn a variety of skills. I am excited to learn more during the rest of the internship!
Published work
As an intern, I had the opportunity to take on writing assignments outside of my work during office hours. I published eight stories to the official Michigan Athletics website and am excited to write more! As someone pursuing the writing minor, I believe that this is an amazing experience to gain writing skills. I have linked a few articles I wrote this semester below.
Working with Photoshop
Coming into this internship experience, I had very minimal expeirence with Photoshop. Now, I feel extremely comfortable making and modifying graphics using Photoshop. To the right are some examples of graphics I have created, and I plan to keep practicing these skills.
Adobe Lightroom

I had never used Adobe Lightroom until my internship supervisor, Gabrielle Healy taught me.While I have only used Lightroom a few select times, I have become increasingly confident in my abilities.
Live Reporting
Above are some examples of tweets I have created during Volleyball games! I wrote the captions and chose the best moments during the game to highlight. Doing this has taught me how to use ClipPro, a program used by many major sports organizations to create match recaps and do live reporting.
Using Instagram's story features I have learned how to create dynamic and interesting updates during games.
After learning how to use pre-clipped videos, I learned how to clip using a live stream for a gymnastics meet and a wrestling meet. Above are some examples of videos I clipped using ClipPro.
